What is qos tagging?

Quality of Service (QoS) tagging is a process that prioritizes traffic on a network. It involves marking network packets, usually with a label or tag, to indicate the priority of the traffic. These tags help network administrators shape network traffic and ensure that important data is given higher priority than less critical data. QoS tagging is implemented on switches and routers using protocols such as Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP), class of service (CoS), or priority-based flow control (PFC). QoS tagging allows for better network performance and a better user experience for applications that require real-time data, such as voice and video.
